The National Fire Academy (NFA) places a high value on the feedback it receives from its students and their supervisors. This feedback is critical for the Academy to determine what training elements have been transferred to the job and ultimately are making a difference in helping to reduce the loss of life from fire-related incidents in local communities.
The most recent results from the NFA's long-term evaluation survey are reflected in the FY 2006 NFA Long Term Evaluation Report. Data from both students and supervisors from select NFA courses are included. Course feedback, training comparisons, training diffusion, student demographics, suggestions for improvement, as well as suggestions for future NFA courses are all depicted. For further information about this Long Term Evaluation Report or other NFA evaluation products and services, please contact the NFA's Training Evaluation Center at NFAEVAL@dhs.gov or (800) 694-4262.
